Providing outstanding care for children has always been my aim, so when I joined Children’s House I felt immediately at home. My hope is that the children here will achieve their personal goals - and dreams - in a rich, caring and challenging environment. We occupy a beautiful, refurbished Edwardian nursery in Wokingham, with wonderful woodland and outdoor play space
It’s hard to find a day nursery in Wokingham - or nearby - with wonderful and extensive facilities for both indoor and outdoor play. Situated in over 2 acres of beautiful grounds, grassy areas and woodland, our Wokingham nursery has both, and we’ve included lots of information about our facilities on our Our Nursery page, and lots of photos of our children at play throughout our website. Thank you to our parents for granting their permission for us to share these photos.
We explain our philosophy and approach to childcare in detail on our Caring For Your Child page. I think that this is particularly important, as not every Wokingham nursery operates in the same way. We explain our ‘Key Person Approach’ and how this enables us to know both you and your child really well – and better meet your child’s needs. We also explain how our nursery and outdoor environmentscontribute to your child’s development with us.
Here at Children’s House we have a great partnership with parents – working closely to ensure that we are meeting their individual needs. I strongly believe in creating warm, caring and friendly environments, where children and their families feel cared for, valued and loved - and where they can genuinely feel at home. As parents are children’s primary educators, the relationships we build together are as important as the relationships we build with our children. These relationships create a ‘home from home’ atmosphere and help children to feel safe and secure, leaving them free to immerse themselves in play.
We’ve included as much useful information as possible here on our website. You’ll find much of it on our Parent Information page. I believe we’re the only Wokingham nursery to open from 7.30am – 6.00pm, Monday – Friday for 51 weeks of the year (we close during Christmas week), offer both ‘Breakfast’ and ‘After School’ clubs, and offer a variety of sessions to meet most family’s individual needs - at competitive and inclusive prices. We also offer FREE childcare places for ALL 3 and 4 year old children (and many 2 year olds), and include free nappies and wipes and nutritious ‘home cooked’ lunches and teas – the details of which are all explained on our Parent Information page.
The best day nursery in Wokingham
Of course it’s natural to be proud of your nursery when you work with a team who strive to provide wonderful care to children every day - and I’m no exception. I truly believe that Children’s House is the best nursery in Wokingham. I hope that our parent testimonials bear this out - and you may also enjoy reading our latest OFSTED Report.
Finally, while we regard Children’s House as a Wokingham nursery, we have just as many parents who use us from Bracknell - and as far afield as Woodley, Earley, Winnersh, Ascot, Sandhurst, Finchampstead, Crowthorne and Windsor – as well as from local villages such as Binfield. You’ll find a map showing our location on our Contact Us page - as well as our contact details. If we look as though we could provide a childcare solution for you, then we’d love to see you at the nursery and show you around - so please give us a call on 01344 301277 or pop in to see us, and meet our team.
