Exceptional outdoor environment
Our nursery in Bracknell has an absolutely exceptional outdoor environment. We have an area of our own private woodland within the two acres of grounds that we have developed a ‘Nature Trail’ through. This allows the children to interact with nature and wildlife extensively. We also have a ‘Sensory Maze’, a ‘natural materials exploration area’, a small orchard, and a huge wooden treehouse. It is hard to put into words just how much these features enrich the nursery experiences of our children.
Children truly at the heart of our philosophy and approach
Children are at the heart of our approach. We are heavily influenced by the teachings of early educators and theories that also have children at the heart of what they do including; Magda Gerber, the Highscope approach, Reggio Emilia & The Curiosity Approach. Whilst we know how important it is for children to be ready for when they go on their next adventure to “big school” we also know how precious and short childhood is and how the first five years is really the key foundation for children. Therefore we tailor our support to suit their needs and how children learn best; through their senses, through physical explorations, through being active, through being inspired and through feeling safe, secure and loved.
Highly developed team working in harmony with families
Our approach to teaching is to deliver exciting, engaging and stimulating experiences that capture children’s imaginations and inspire them to want to learn more. We work hard to ensure that all our team working with children do so to the very best of their ability. We work hard with parents and families to include them in what we do and to include us in what they do and find that this mutual approach helps us to build genuinely positive relationships with families.
